Oscilloglass
Oscilloglass
Kokusai's ”oscilloglass” is a mechanically driven hourglass that starts moving and ticks the time by turning it over.
Each of the components sealed inside and visible through the delicate glass cylinder is pulled by the earth's gravity, and then moves by its own weight.
The drop speed is controlled by the same principle as a mechanical clock, descending slowly and eventually stopping while interacting with each other.
The ”oscilloglass” is a unique device that not only functions to measure time, but also allows the user to feel the passage of time through movement, sound, and vibration, like a discreet heartbeat.
The ”oscilloglass” delivers a 5 minutes countdown.
