Aquila Silver
Aquila
Aquila is a kinetic, mechanical sculpture designed and crafted in brass and wood by Lukas Schilling.
After training as a carpenter, Schilling studied product design and started exploring the possibilities of creative expression through movement; subtle movement sequences are what interest him most. He currently lives and works as a visual artist and sculptor in Halle/Saale in Germany.
The wingspan of Aquila is 73cm and the height is 53cm. Aquila is provided with an international plug and can be operated at both 230V and 110V. Furthermore the brass parts are protected against corrosion thanks to a varnish.
Aquila is available in two different versions : light brown or dark brown.
Specifications
Inspired by a love for nature and the joy of observing its processes, Aquila has been created with an appreciation of high-quality woodwork. Compared to the experience of fast and busy urban life, nature has the ability to decelerate and focus our perception. Aquila reminds us of the sublime tranquility and meditative contemplation that we find in nature. The work combines the natural grace of a bird in flight with formal reduction and technical elegance.
